Stubborn Folk

For those of you who know this great Diva : Fairouz,

You surely know her B7ebbak ya lebnan. In it, she sings the rebirth of Lebanon, after the war, a lebanon of dignity and stubborn folk.

Several years later, her son, Ziad,

wrote and directed a play, Bekhsous l Karameh wel Sha3b l 3anid (Of Dignity and Stubborn Folk) using his mother's song and drawing a vision of Lebanon. (see plot here).
